dc.description.abstractThe objectives of the study was the investigation of the effect of practices about proccurement on public projects implementation in Rwanda by assessing the influence of procurement planning, monitoring and evaluation of contracts and choice of procurement procedures on implementation of construction projects of health service infrastructure in RBC. The researcher adopted the descriptive survey design because the study seeks to gain insight or perception into a phenomenon as a way of providing basic information in an area of study. The study population comprised 360 in total including 313 Project Beneficiaries, 9 projects manager, 9 procurements officers, 20 committee members and 9 project chairpersons of construction projects in RBC. The researcher used simple randomly sampling to select the project manager and use also purposive sampling to select the procurement officers and project beneficiaries. The researcher used Yamane formula to determine the sample size of all population. The researcher used the questionnaire and interview to take data. The interview was used for project managers and questionnaires for the rest of the population. Data were analyzed into tables and graphs applying descriptive statistics (frequency, percentages and mean) by statistical tools such SPSS 16.0 for windows served for data analysis. After the data had been collected, findings were summarized, general conclusion was drawn and recommendations were forwarded.en_US
